SHEPHERD'S PIE

grams Beef or lamb mince

Goa Sausage

cup diced mushrooms

cup each diced red and green capsicum

cup diced onion leek
1
can diced tomatoes
1
bunch English Spinach, chopped

cups mashed potato

cup flaked almonds

cup Port wine

cup water

Preheat oven to moderate 180 degrees centigrade.
Brush 20 cm
round cake tin with melted butter.

Chop Goa Sausage, combine with mince, water and Port wine
and cook on medium heat till all the liquid evaporates.
Stir fry the mince
till dark brown and then add the diced red and green capsicum, onion leek
and mushroom and stir fry for a further 3 minutes.
Add the spinach
and tomatoes and put mixture into the prepared cake tin.
Spread the
mashed potato over the
mixture and press almonds over the potato.

Bake in moderate oven for 30 minutes or until almonds are a golden brown.
